About Me

Hi! I’m Francisca, the proud owner and baker of Sweet Comforts Bakery.
As a Cuban and White baker, wife, and mother of three, I am able to bring my diverse culture to some of my creations. I grew up in Tacoma and the surrounding areas and now call Olympia home.

From a young age, I’ve loved baking and numbers. To provide stability for myself, I chose to earn a degree in accounting and joined the corporate world, working for the City of Tacoma, Food Services of America, and Boeing, among other companies. However, my true calling came after I decided to step away from corporate life to raise our family.

During this time, I found a love for organic foods; however, we were not able to find delicious organic baked goods. Because of this, I rediscovered my love of baking and spent almost a decade writing and testing recipes to perfect each item I bake, sharing the results with family, friends, and my husband's coworkers. I love hearing that my treats have brightened their day or reminded them of how their parent or grandparent baked the same item for them. It truly warms my heart.

Sweet Comforts Bakery was born out of this passion. My mission is to share the joy and happiness that my baked goods bring to people. I specialize in small batch baking, using the highest quality ingredients, including USDA Organic and certified non-GMO products. I also prioritize sustainability by using grass-fed dairy products, ensuring that every bite is not only delicious but also ethically sourced.
